How to start doing your marketing with AI agents

Start with one repeatable marketing task you already do every week, write a short brief with your audience, offer and voice, give the agent one real example of good output, and check its first drafts against that example. Add tools and automation only after the drafts are good enough to ship with light edits.

What are the steps

  1. Pick one weekly taskA launch post, a newsletter intro, ad variations or a competitor check. One task, not a whole function.
  2. Write a one page briefWho the reader is, what you sell, the one action you want and three lines in your voice.
  3. Give a real example of goodPaste a past piece that worked or a library example you want to match.
  4. Set a pass barDecide what makes a draft shippable before you read one, then judge every draft against it.
  5. Save the setupKeep the brief in a project, custom instructions or a skill so the next run starts from it.

What else do people ask

Which AI tool should a marketer start with

The one you already pay for. The brief, examples and pass bar matter more than the tool, and they move with you if you switch.

Can an agent post or send for me

Many can through connectors, but keep publishing, sending and spending as a human approval step until the drafts are reliably good.

How long until it saves time

Expect the first week to be slower. The time saving shows once the brief and examples are saved and reused.
