Semrush will stop tracking Copilot on November 9
Semrush told Enterprise AIO customers it will stop tracking Microsoft Copilot on November 9, 2026. Its notice says recent changes to Copilot’s access requirements prevent AI visibility platforms, including its own, from collecting the needed data. Tracking for the other AI platforms it covers is unaffected. Glenn Gabe shared the notice and asked when other platforms will tell customers.
Our take
AI visibility tools depend on access the AI companies can shut off any day. Treat these dashboards as a rough signal, not a source of truth. If Copilot matters to your buyers, run a short list of your money prompts by hand each month and keep the results in a sheet you own.
