Google Ads expands AI disclosure labels to three more regions

Google Ads added California, South Korea and Vietnam to the list of places where AI created or edited assets get a visible label on the ad. The list already covered the European Union, India and New York. Google updated its Use AI content label settings help page and the Merchant Center product data specification. Merchant Center now says AI rules in those six places require disclosures or labels when ads use certain AI generated or edited assets.
Our take
If you target California, South Korea or Vietnam and mark assets as AI made, expect the label on the creative itself, not only in My Ad Center. Audit every campaign that hits those regions this week and set the AI content controls before new creatives go live. Leave the honor system alone only if you never use outside AI tools to write or edit ads.
