Real CTAs behind the rules

Questions

What is a CTA checker

A free tool that scores the label on your main call to action button before you ship the page. It checks 10 rules, and each rule comes from a real landing, signup or demo page in our library.

How does the CTA checker score my button

It runs 10 rules in your browser: action verb, what they get, length, soft next steps, risk reducer, talking to the reader, plain words, capitalization, one primary action and a time or size cue. Each rule has a weight. A pass earns its points, a near miss earns half, and the score is the share of points earned.

What should a call to action button say

A verb plus what they get, short enough for a phone button, with a risk line next to it when you can. Raycast uses Download for Mac. Tally uses Create a free form with no signup required nearby.

Where do the rules come from

From landing, signup and demo pages in the library, including Raycast, Tally, PostHog and Mercury. Every fix links to the page that shows the rule.

Is the CTA checker free

Yes, free and no signup. No. There is no login and nothing is saved. Everything runs in your browser.
