Google indexes six million Facebook Answers AI pages

Search Engine Roundtable reported that Google has indexed over 6 million Facebook Answers pages under facebook.com/fb-answers/, each built as an AI summary of public Facebook posts and pages on a topic. Saul Westbrook first tracked the directory in June 2026 and showed monthly organic traffic climbing since then, with pages ranking in classic results plus AI Overviews and AI Mode. Glenn Gabe called the rollout scaled content abuse and noted the same URLs cite across AI search. Barry Schwartz wrote that he expects Google to cut indexing now that the pattern is public.

Our take

Query your top informational keywords this week and log every facebook.com/fb-answers/ result that sits above your page. When a Facebook Answers page wins a query you own, strengthen original reporting, first party data, and unique examples rather than chasing AI summary length. Watch Google Search Console for sudden drops if Google starts pruning the directory, because those clicks will reopen for brands that held useful pages ready.
