What to bring to a marketing working call

Bring the page or draft that is stuck, who it is for, the one action you want, what is not working, and what you already tried. That is enough to spend the hour on the work instead of catching up. Slides and a long brief slow the call down.

How to prep before the call

  1. Write the one problem in one sentenceSay what is stuck and where. A homepage that does not convert is a different call than a pricing page or a launch week plan.
  2. Pick the page or draft you will work onSend a live link or a draft. One page is enough. Do not bring five options.
  3. Name the audience and the one actionWho is this for, and what should they do next. Book a demo, start a trial, join a waitlist. Pick one.
  4. List what you already triedTwo or three short notes. Failed headlines, old CTAs, past tests. Saves the first ten minutes.
  5. Decide what done looks likeA rewritten hero, a clearer CTA, a launch week outline. One outcome you can ship the same day.
  6. Send the link before the callShare the page, the audience, the action and what is stuck. Then the Meet starts on the work.

What else do people ask

How long does prep take

About 10 to 15 minutes. Write the problem, pick the page, name the audience and action, list what you tried and send the link.

What if the page is not live yet

A draft, Figma link or Google Doc is fine. Blake needs the words and the layout, not a public URL.

What does Blake need vs not need

Need: the page or draft, who it is for, the one action and what is stuck. Not needed: a slide deck, a brand book or a long brief.

Should I send slides

No. Slides take time away from the rewrite. Send the page and three short notes. You leave with the new version in a doc.

Bring Blake the page that is stuck

50 minutes on Google Meet. We rewrite it together and you leave with the new version in a doc you can ship the same day. $499.
