Questions
What is a cold email checker
A free tool that scores the subject and body of a cold email before you send it. It checks 10 rules, and each rule comes from a real cold email in our library.
How does the cold email checker score my email
It runs 10 rules in your browser: opens about them, a reason for writing now, one problem from their world, an easy yes or no ask, no empty check-ins, follow ups that add value, a breakup with an easy out, agreeing with objections, plain words and help before the pitch. Each rule has a weight. A pass earns its points, a near miss earns half, and the score is the share of points earned.
What should a cold email say
Open on their world, name one problem, and ask a question they can answer yes or no. HubSpot opened on a TED talk. 30MPC asks if a fix is worth a look. Ideal Candidate used a public award as the reason to write.
Where do the rules come from
From cold emails in the library, including HubSpot, Ideal Candidate, 30MPC, Basecamp and Josh Braun. Every fix links to the email that shows the rule.
Is the cold email checker free
Yes, free and no signup. There is no login and nothing is saved. Everything runs in your browser.
